STORRIS, Connecticut (AP) - Donovan Clingan scored a career-high 29 points and No. 4-ranked UConn beat UNH 84-64 on Monday night to extend its nonconference winning streak to 24 games.
Klingen hit all of his first 10 shots from beyond the arc and was 12-of-13 from the field. The Huskies (7-0) held a 52-8 advantage in points in the paint.
Tristen Newton finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, while Cam Spencer added 17 points.
The University of Ontario (4-3) trailed by 15 points at halftime and missed 13 of its first 14 shots in the second half. The Wildcats went more than eight minutes without a field goal until Naim Miller drained a three-pointer with 8:59 to play.
Jaxson Baker scored a team-high 20 points, going 15-of-29 from the free throw line. Baker made a career-high six three-pointers. Clarence Daniels and Ahmad Robinson each contributed 19 points for the Wildcats.
New Hampshire hit 13 of its 18 three-pointers in the game. Connecticut was 4-of-28 from behind the arc.
The game was tied 8-8 early, but UConn scored 20 of the next 23 points to take a 28-11 lead with 8:49 left in the first half. Baker hit a three-pointer with 5:03 left in the half to push UConn's lead to 32-23, then New Hampshire pushed the lead back to nine, but UConn led 45-30 at halftime.
New Hampshire made eight of its 11 outside 3-pointers in the first half. Baker hit five of his seven three-point attempts in the first 20 minutes of play to finish with a team-high 15 points in the half.
UConn led by as many as 28 points with 9:17 to play, its largest lead of the game.
